Mr. Edward Grant serves as the Vice President, Biostatistics and Clinical Data Management, at DP Clinical, where he oversees the organization’s biostatistics team, including statisticians and statistical programmers. Mr. Grant has over 10 years of experience in biostatistics and statistical analysis programming for Phase I-III clinical trials and research. He has been with DP Clinical since 2015, where he has been responsible for protocol design with sample size and power calculations, statistical analysis plans, randomization, reporting and attendance at safety committee meetings, CDISC SDTM and ADaM datasets and documentation, and preparation of interim, final, and ad hoc analyses.
Prior to DP Clinical, Mr. Grant led statistical projects in Department of Defense infectious disease clinical trials and epidemiological studies in for the Henry Jackson Foundation. Prior to that, he performed methodology research for the Center for Disease Control’s National Center for Health Statistics. Mr. Grant has also provided statistical support to research in survey-based epidemiology studies for the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Mr. Grant’s research has contributed to numerous published articles, presentations, and academic posters including many in infectious diseases, as well as in statistical methodology. Mr. Grant has also been the primary author and maintainer of R statistical packages.
Edward holds an MPH degree in Biostatistics from the University of Maryland, College Park, where his research focused on high dimensional data analysis in longitudinal designs. He holds a BS degree in Applied Mathematics in Biology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
